Case features

Fibreglass composite

The outer case is constructed with layers of woven glass fibre embedded in resin (usually polyester or epoxy). Resin binds the fibers and hardens into a durable, protective casing. This creates a rigid, impact resistant shell that is lightweight yet strong. 

Shock Absorption

The thick 30mm foam acts as a cushion, absorbing impact from accidental drops or knocks. This prevents sudden force from transferring directly to the banjo’s body, neck, or resonator. The case includes outer studs to protect the hinges from damage or wear, it allows the case to stand upright and on its side.

Vibration Dampening

Foam reduces vibrations during transport, which helps maintain tuning stability and protects delicate components like the bridge and head.

Secure Fit

The foam surrounds the banjo on all sides, minimizing movement inside the case. This prevents scratches, dents, and stress on the neck joint.

Layered Protection

Combined with the hard fibreglass shell, the foam creates a dual-protection system: the shell resists external pressure, while the foam cushions the instrument internally. The inner bottom foam is concaved to cushion the shape of the resonator, while the inner top is shaped as a horse shoe to protect the raised bridge & tailpiece of the banjo.

Our cases include extra padding to accommodate open back banjos. Banjos that have thinner resonators/bodies tend to sit too deeply into standard cases causing the neck to sit up at an angle, or allow the banjo to rattle about inside the case. We provide a 20mm circular velvet covered/foam pad to keep your banjo snuggly fitted in the case.
